Welcome to Cape North Boutique!
Thank you for being here.
This space is an extension of the work I have been doing for some time, and for many of you, it may already feel familiar. If you have found me through markets or Etsy, I am grateful you have followed my work here as it continues to grow.
I am an Indigenous artist originally from Labrador, and my jewelry is rooted in Inuit culture, family, and the natural world. Much of what I create is shaped by where I come from and by the knowledge, stories, and techniques that have been passed down through generations. The land and the people it holds are not just inspiration, they are foundation.
From a young age, I was drawn to traditional craftsmanship and the quiet precision it requires. I learned through observation, repetition, and listening. Before COVID, I began intentionally reconnecting with my heritage by making small crafts and pieces of artwork. What started as a personal process gradually became a practice, and eventually a business.
Today, I create traditional jewelry with a modern approach. Each piece is made by hand with careful attention to detail and deep respect for tradition. I work with materials such as bone, stone, quills, beads, and furs, chosen not only for their beauty but for their connection to the land they come from. Every piece reflects a relationship between nature, culture, and identity.
My work is not about recreating the past, but about carrying it forward. Traditional forms and techniques remain central, while design choices evolve naturally through experience, learning, and experimentation. Jewelry, for me, is a way to tell stories, both old and new, and to honor the people and places those stories belong to.
I continue to develop my skills through programs, classes, and markets, always learning and refining my craft. This website allows me to share that work more directly, beyond any single platform, and to create a space that reflects the values behind what I make.
Thank you for supporting handmade work, cultural appreciation, and small Indigenous businesses. I hope you find something here that resonates with you.
