Behind Cape North

Hi, I’m Amanda, the creator behind Cape North.

Life lately has been a mix of kids, creativity, messy beads all over the house, and trying to learn how to keep plants alive. Now that the weather is finally getting nicer, I’ve been spending more time outside, slowing down a little, and finding inspiration in everyday life again.

A lot of my work is inspired by where I come from nature, old traditions, and the materials themselves. Creating has become something really grounding for me, especially during busy days of motherhood and everyday life.

Lately my daughter has started making her own little jewelry pieces and beaded figures too, which has honestly been one of the sweetest things to watch. Seeing creativity slowly pass down naturally like that feels really special to me.

Cape North started from something personal and slowly grew into this little space where I get to create and share pieces made with love, care, and connection to home.

Most nights, you’ll probably find me making jewelry after the kids are asleep with beads spread everywhere beside me. Every piece is handmade by me, and no two are ever exactly alike.

Thank you so much for being here, supporting handmade work, and supporting my little Indigenous business. Every order, share, kind message, and bit of support truly means more than you know.
